TKS Director Video

tl;dr → Had the opportunity to record a video regarding the valuable director(s) at The Knowledge Society + the ways in which they deliver and accelerate student growth.

Key learnings from experience:

👉 Know the tone - I struggled the first couple times I recorded videos because I was either too serious or too "salesy." 🔑 thing for me was to reinforce to myself who the target audience of this video was + how I could develop a message that would resonate with them and prompt them to learn more about the program, directors, and eventually apply. This top-down strategy of identifying what success looks like and working backwards was incredibly beneficial to the success of the video.

👉 Smile - Similar to the tone, the first couple times I recorded I was in professional mode and was too focused on the content that I forgot to be human. While it does initially feel unnatural to smile at the camera for so long it's about being authentic and real because from an audience perspective a virtual smile goes a long way.
